Overview

The Manager of Regulatory Compliance plays a critical role in maintaining the company's adherence to licensure, accreditation, and other regulatory requirements. The position provides consultation to the organization and manages compliance readiness through participation in operational committees, providing education, and facilitation of audit programs.  In addition, the Manager will anticipate and aggressively manage operational and compliance risks, ensure the integrity of the organization’s internal controls, and promote strong stewardship and accountability at all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Stays up to date with evolving industry regulations, laws, and standards to ensure the organization's practices remain compliant.
  • Serves as subject matter expert in regulatory and accreditation standards applicable to the centers to which they are assigned
  • Develops and implements compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines to align with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure that all processes, products, and services meet the necessary compliance standards.
  • Assists in the completion of initial and renewal licensing/accreditation applications within specified timeframes.
  • Build relationships with external regulators and serve as the lead contact/manages external audit activities.
  • Conducts regular internal audits and assessments to identify potential compliance gaps and develop corrective action plans.
  • Creates clear and accurate audit findings and recommendations in written audit reports that are utilized for advising stakeholders throughout the organization.
  • Develops and provides guidance/training to employees on compliance matters, fostering a culture of awareness and responsibility.
  • Interfaces with regulatory agencies and authorities as needed, serving as the point of contact for compliance-related inquiries.
  • Leads internal investigations related to potential compliance breaches and recommends appropriate corrective measures.
  • Prepares and submits reports to senior management and regulatory bodies on compliance status and findings.
  • Monitors changes in regulatory landscape and anticipates potential impacts on the company's operations.
  • Facilitates, develops, and implements special projects as assigned by Supervisor.
  • Performs all other administrative and supervisory duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Travel:

25%-Travel to region’s sites for internal/external audits, training, and meetings.

 

Required Education/Degree:

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

 

Required Work Experience:

Two years of experience in healthcare compliance preferred.
