Overview

The Automation Software Developer plays a key role in streamlining and optimizing operational workflows across BrightView using Microsoft automation technologies. This position is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation solutions with a focus on Microsoft tools, including PowerShell, Azure Automation, Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps), and Copilot. Success in this role requires cross-departmental collaboration, strong scripting and development skills, and an understanding of healthcare IT environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain automation workflows using PowerShell, Power Automate, and other Microsoft tools.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to identify automation opportunities that improve efficiency and reduce manual workload.
  • Create and manage custom connectors and API integrations between Microsoft and third-party platforms (e.g., JotForm).
  • Integrate Microsoft and non-Microsoft systems to support seamless data and process flows.
  • Document automation workflows, code, and procedures to support internal knowledge sharing and compliance.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for automation-related issues and assist with general IT troubleshooting when needed.

Qualifications

  • EXPERIENCE
    • Microsoft Power Platform Developer (PL-400) or equivalent certification.
    • Azure Developer Associate or other relevant Microsoft certifications are a plus.
    • Proven experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI).
    • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
    • Experience integrating APIs and working with RESTful services.
    • Familiarity with Azure services, such as Azure Functions, and Azure Automation.
    • Working knowledge of Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ideally within a healthcare or regulated IT environment.
    • Troubleshooting technical issues related to desktops, laptops, printers, and network connectivity.
    • Managing user accounts and access permissions in systems like Active Directory, Office 365, and other platforms.
  • EDUCATION:
    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience in automation software development.
