Overview

BrightView is a rapidly growing healthcare organization specializing in patient-focused, outpatient addiction treatment. As we expand, we are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Accounting Manager to lead our accounting team. This role requires strong leadership abilities and broad accounting expertise. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, process improvement, and compliance with accounting standards. A CPA certification is preferred for this position, which also offers the opportunity to influence the team and drive organizational growth.

Responsibilities

  • TEAM MANAGEMENT:
    • Lead and manage a team of accountants, providing mentorship and support to ensure high performance.
    • Evaluate team performance and facilitate professional development opportunities.
  • MONTH-END CLOSE AND FINANCIAL REPORTING:
    • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    • Manage month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
    • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial records and reporting in compliance with US GAAP.
  • AUDITS, CONTROLS, AND PROCESS IMPROVEMENT:
    • Coordinate and lead the external audit process.
    • Implement and maintain internal controls and accounting policies to enhance operational efficiency and mitigate risk.
    • Identify and drive process improvement initiatives across accounting operations.
  • TREASURY:
    • Prepare the Company’s weekly cash forecasts and assist in managing working capital.
    • Assist the Controller in managing the Company’s banking relationships and review and approve payments to vendors.
  • PAYROLL:
    • Manage payroll specialist(s) responsible for executing payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing.

Qualifications

  • EXPERIENCE
    • A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with demonstrated expertise in both corporate and public accounting.
    • Proven experience managing direct reports and fostering team development.
  • EDUCATION:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
    • Active CPA designation (preferred).
  • PREFERRED:
    • Public accounting experience.
    • Multisite healthcare industry experience.
